What a beautiful morning with the first appalachain snow of the season. What I love about the snow isn’t just the chill in the air or the fun to be had playing it, but the newness and pure white color. It’s like looking at a blank slate. All the dead grass hidden underneath this soft layer of pure white.

I think that pureness is what I like about the season, because it reminds me of the pure new slate God has given us when we follow Him. Our old sinful ways are like the dead grass, covered with a new snowy white life. Each and every day it can be a struggle to follow Him, but He has promised to always be there as long as we strive to live like Him, and he forgives us with His unabounding
